Brent earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Highest Honors in 1981 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School, and his Juris Doctor degree in 1984 from the UNC School of Law. He served as a law clerk to Senior United States District Court Judge Eugene A. Gordon (Middle District of North Carolina) in 1984 & 1985 before founding the original Barringer Law Firm in Cary in 1986. Over his 31 years of private practice representing small business leaders, entrepreneurs and investors, Brent has extensive experience in many varied business, corporate and commercial transactional projects ranging in size from $100,000 to over $100 Million. Since the early 1990s, most of these transactions focus in commercial real estate and the assemblage of property for residential development.
Robert received a B.S. degree in business in 1980 and a J.D. degree in 1983 from Wake Forest University. He has jury trial experience in North Carolina federal and state courts. He has handled numerous claims, including commercial disputes, covenants not to compete, products liability, construction, personal injury defense, antitrust, insurance fraud and coverage, medical, accountant and real estate broker malpractice, and civil rights violations, including employment discrimination. He has represented counties and municipalities throughout North Carolina. In addition, Robert has represented clients in courts in Mississippi and Louisiana. He served as national coordinating counsel in Mississippi for a large manufacturer. Robert coordinated the defense of over 50 cases involving over 450 plaintiffs.
Kari Hepburn joined Barringer Sasser, LLP in February 2014 and her main focus is on trust and estate planning, and estate administration. Before joining the law firm, Kari worked with Wilson & Ratledge, PLLC in Raleigh where she practiced in trust and estate planning, estate administration, business succession planning, contracts, and tax controversies. Prior to that time she had a solo practice in the Apex area with a focus on trust and estate planning, and she worked for Robbins May and Rich LLP in Pinehurst, NC.
Shea received a B.A. from the University of St. Thomas, and a J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. Shea Maliszewski (pronounced “Shay Mal-i- chev-ski”) joined Barringer Sasser, LLP in February 2017. Before joining the law firm, Shea owned his own practice for almost five years. Shea practices in the areas of business law, family law, and civil litigation. Shea has successfully represented clients in trials before the North Carolina District Courts and the North Carolina Superior Courts.

Casey is an Attorney and Certified Public Accountant in Cary, NC. He graduated from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2010 and earned a Master of Accounting degree in 2011.
